Effective July 1, 2011, Fibermark increased their minimum order on selected publishing and packaging products, such as Skivertex and Kivar, from 80 yards to 250 yards. However, quantities as little as 5 yards are now available from our in-stock offerings!

This now gives you an even greater selection of in-stock items from the Skivertex, Kivar 7, Silktouch Nuba, Summit, and Pellaq lines.  And don’t forget that Gane offers competitive pricing for larger quantities too.

These items complement our already wide inventories of Lexide/Pajco 17, 25, and 30 point, along with the PJ10 by Gane turned edge product line. • Information on Phthalates. Phthalates (pronounced THAL-ates) are organic chemicals produced from oil and are the most commonly used plasticisers in the world. They are a family of chemical substances that have been in use for about 50 years, primarily to make polyvinyl chloride (PVC) soft and flexible.
  
  
• Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. Under the CPSIA, which was passed by Congress in August 2009, children’s products are required to undergo stringent testing for lead and phthalates. Currently, the General Counsel of the CPSC  is interpreting the law  to  apply to ordinary, paper-based books for children 12  years of age or younger, so that all such books and product would have to be tested for lead content.
