The ODM Casemaking System automates the entire casemaking process and features a gluer, case gauge, turning unit and rotary press. This manually operated system allows output of 60 to 100 covers per hour. The ODM Casemaking System features four major components.
Spreader: The spreader is a top side gluer equipped with a 18" glue roller. The scraper blade is fully adjustable, allowing the cold PVA adhesive to be applied in virtually any thickness. The Spreader unit can be disassembled quickly for fast and easy cleanup.
Slider: A full featured case gauge for precise placement of cover board on the cover material. This fully adjustable unit features arms that can be opened to a maximum of 4", and an adjustable side guide and arm spacer kit for different joint gaps.
Stomper: An air-operated turning machine produces perfect, tight corner wraps. The Stomper will accommodate a wide range of materials, from library buckram to leather. It is available in a width of either 30" or 36", but larger units can be custom made.
Squeezer: The Squeezer is a rotary press that will accept materials up to 18" in width. It presses the cover, ensuring that the cover materials and board are properly laminated.
The ODM Casemaking system can be configured for use by two operators: one at the Spreader/Slider station, another at the Stomper/Squeezer station.
Applications: Hard cover books, photo albums, menu covers, looseleaf binders, game boards.
